..:: Videos! ::..

Occasionally I have a bit of a play with my video camera, and the following clips are the result. Most of them are juggling related, and that's probably because I hang around on rec.juggling and they're a bad influence on me.

Clips are listed in reverse chronological order (ie new ones at the top), and most clips are available in multiple formats, enjoy!

Bungay Balls Up 2006

This was all shot at the lovely relaxed Bungay Balls Up in May 2006. Keep an eye open for the Jason "Drunken Master" Perry bonus footage...

rec.juggling colaboration project - 2006

The readers of rec.juggling got together, and over 40 jugglers contributed clips of themselves juggling. LP edited the whole lot together, and this is the result!

Circus Circa 1995

Newsreel footage of a circus reconstructed from clips found on www.gettyimages.com (Hence the watermarking)

Featuring sword swallowing, the circus parade, clowns, flying trapese, static trapese, tumbling, teeterboard, 4 person club passing, magic and an knife throwing.

Chocfest 2006 cup stacking

Montage of "cup stacking" all shot in the canteen at Chocfest 2006. Whilst some of this footage is very fast, none of it was sped up.

Francis Brunn Kick

This is a re-encode of the video available at the JIS (www.juggling.org) - This was done to slow the framerate down to a sensible level for todays computers. Contains archive footage of Francis Brunn doing the "Impossible trick"

"Strangely Talented"

In October 2003, LP appeared on the BBC1 childrens television show "Dick and Dom in da bungalow" - he was very hung over and wearing some really rather nasty shorts...

Bobby May - 5 balls

This is a re-encode of the video available at the JIS (www.juggling.org) - This was done to slow the framerate down to a sensible level for todays computers. Contains archive footage of Bobby May juggling 5 balls.

Francis Brunn Combination Trick

This is a re-encode of the video available at the JIS (www.juggling.org) - This was done to slow the framerate down to a sensible level for todays computers. Contains archive footage of Francis Brunn performing a combination trick.

Enrico Rastelli - repack

This is a re-encode of the video available at the JIS (www.juggling.org) - This was done to slow the framerate down to a sensible level for todays computers. Contains archive footage of Enrico Rastelli. Including him juggling plates whilst jumping rope.

Bobby May - 4 clubs

This is a re-encode of the video available at the JIS (www.juggling.org) - This was done to slow the framerate down to a sensible level for todays computers. Contains archive footage of Bobby May juggling 4 clubs with a 5th club ballanced on his forehead.

It's interesting to note that the 5th club is ballanced "upside down" by modern standards

5club multiplex scissor catch

Whilst perusing a newsreel archive, I came accross this footage of "The Void" pulling off a 5 club, multiplex scissor catch at chocfest 2006...

Monday Night Balloon

The Bristol Monday night juggling club meeting was quite busy this week, there was also a helium balloon bobbing about minding it's own business. After much discussion about the best way to go about retrieving it, I caught this clip on my mobile

Pool for cats

Just before Christmas 2005, we were in a pub in Bristol with a pool table, and a rather interested cat. He wanted to join in with the game so we let him. I got this clip on my mobile phone (Which is why the quality isn't great ;-)

WWJF - Olga

Olga Galchenko's 2005 WJF profile, remixed with a spot of "pro wrestling"

Thumb spins

Someone in the www.jugglingdb.com chatroom wanted to know what "thumb spins" were. This is an attempt to demonstrate, with slomo so that you can try them yourself

Dice stacking

Some simple "dice stacking" moves. Four dice, one cup, the idea is to scoop all four dice up into a nice neat vertical stack. It might look like magic, but there's no trickery involved - just skill.

WJDUK 2005

World Juggling Day 2005 - In the lake district in the UK.

Spinning plates

Someone on rec.juggling asked if anyone could spin one plate on a mouthstick, and one on each hand. I couldn't at the time the question was asked, but 30 minutes later, this was the result.

Floater!

Just a little magic trick that I knocked up and briefly contemplated flogging for £15 a pop

Instant juggler

My entry into the "Make a juggling TV commercial" WJVF compo. Features a Marvelous performace by The Void.

Traces of geek

My second entry into the "Traces of Plagiarism" WJVF compo. Warning! This one's a bit geeky.

Ballstick

My first entry into the "Traces of Plagiarism" WJVF compo.

Knot throwing

Two very simple "knot throwing" moves. This looks like it might be faked, but it's knot (arf!) - this is real, and relies on skill rather than trickery.

6balls onsink, 37seconds

6 balls, onsink, for 37 seconds. Nuff said.

WJDUK 2004

World Juggling Day 2004 - In the lake district in the UK.

Meteors

What do you do with poi's poor relation "the meteor"? This. That's what

Pringles cannon

We were bored. We had finished the pringles. What else was there to do but make a cannon out of the tube and fire it at eachother?

Tennis racket

This is me setting my personal best time for climbing through a tennis racket, blink and you'll miss it... it's under 12 seconds.

Deoderant

Bloody jugglers. Can't even get up in the morning without throwing things about.
